For the benefit of all, the magi (those that study magic) decided to build their own world. And as they considered Earth a pretty good place to live, they magically made themselves a duplicate one. The world of man and the world of magi parted and happily forgot about one another. That was until one fateful day when a young girl fell from her own world into the world of the magi, who were really not happy to see her at all.Exhausted and chronically dehydrated, Medlar Archer though she was dying when she fell into the arms of a cross-looking angel. However the white robed, High Lord Eleusis was no angel but he was extremely cross. Obsessed with a prediction that speaks of the rise to power of a murderous black robed magi, called the Dark Crow, he was rather unnerved when the arrival of this traveller suddenly fulfils the first part of this prediction. Eleusis with help from his grey robed friend Lord Callac have to race against time to unravel the complexities that now surround them. All three have to face their own home grown demons and separately look death in the eye. As the moment draws near when the trio must stand before the Crow are the alliances forged in such a short time strong enough to hold them together?It is not just the Crow that is upsetting the Ruling College, which is the central power base of the magi world. Questions are beginning to undermine the arrogance and self-assuredness of the white robes. To become a white robe an apprentice must be pure in heart ordered in mind. Coming from a long line of white robed magi Eleusis’ destiny was forged long before his birth. However now as hair-line cracks are beginning to appear in their dominance it is in this turbulent environment that Eleusis has to decide where his loyalties lie. Are white robes beyond redemption or is it about time they released their grip on powerAlthough set in a world of magic it is hoped that this book is read by those that just enjoy a good story, whether magic happens or not.
